The coaching process comprises of three elements:
Planning - developing short and long term training programs to help your athlete achieve their goals
Conducting - delivery of training programs
Evaluating - evaluation of the programs, athlete development and your coaching. This element may result in adjustment of your athlete's training program and your coaching.

To develop an athlete to their full potential a coach has adopt the role of an assistant
A coach has to analyse sporting performance individual and team
Provide encouragement at right time
Continually give guidance to athlete in life and their sport
The coach has to create the right conditions for learning to happen and to find ways of motivating the athletes.

The coach will need to be able to: assist athletes to prepare training programs, communicate effectively with athletes, assist athletes to develop new skills, use evaluation tests to monitor training progress and predict performance
